As a member, you’ll have access to a wide range of activities, including:

Monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, technical workshops, and discussions.
Hands-on training opportunities to help improve your skills when available.
Participation in club events, contests, and emergency communication exercises.
Networking with fellow amateur radio enthusiasts who are always eager to share knowledge.

We have three membership types available:

Primary Membership

$40year

For those who reside primarly within Hamilton or Burlington
RAC Insurance (required of not a RAC Member) – Additional $13

Long Distance Member

$25year

For Those who reside primarly outside of Hamilton Or Burlington*
RAC Insurance (required of not a RAC Member) – Additional $13

Family Member

$15year

Add a family member on to a Primary or Long Distance Membership
RAC Insurance (required of not a RAC Member) – Additional $13

How are my membership fees used?

Your annual membership fees support the following club activities:

Maintenance and upgrades of HARC radio-communications equipment, including repeaters, antennas, HF station and supporting equipment
Monthly club meeting expenses such as room rental, refreshments and supplies
Free yearly BBQ for club members and a guest
Cost offset of yearly member Christmas dinner
IT and web expenses, such as web hosting and maintenance
Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) insurance (if applicable), which protects you from liability during club events and when you are operating on your own at home or out and about (some conditions apply) Note: Only members in good standing are covered by RAC insurance

When does my HARC Membership Expire?

Memberships are from September 1st through August 31st. Your membership expires on August 31st every year.

How do I renew my membership?

Membership renewals are due in September. If you have not renewed your HARC membership, simply fill out the application form above and send it to our treasurer with payment. Contact the treasurer or membership director if you have any questions.
