2026 HARC Hamfest Recap
The 2026 HARC Ancaster Hamfest is in the books, and we would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success.
Held on Saturday, October 3, the Hamfest once again brought amateur radio operators, vendors, collectors and curious newcomers together for a morning of radios, parts, antennas, accessories, conversation and the kind of friendly face-to-face interaction that makes this hobby special.
A Busy Hall and Plenty to See
Going into the event, roughly 75 vendor tables had been reserved, giving visitors plenty to browse. From current equipment to vintage radios, components, cables, test gear and the occasional item you did not know you needed until you saw it on a table, there was a little bit of everything.
For many people, though, a hamfest is about more than buying and selling equipment. It is a chance to catch up with old friends, put faces to familiar call signs, compare projects and operating stories, and welcome new people into amateur radio.
Thank You to Our Vendors
HARC is especially grateful to the vendors who supported this year’s event. A hamfest simply does not happen without people willing to load up their vehicles, arrive early, set up tables and spend the morning sharing equipment and knowledge with the amateur radio community.
We also appreciate the vendors who contributed prizes to the vendor draw. Your support added another fun element to the morning and helped make the event more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Those Vendors Included:
Icom Canada
Retevis Radios
Nutech Electronics
Degen Designs
Radio Amateurs of Canada
Thank You to Our Volunteers
Events like this take a lot of work behind the scenes. From setup and registration to parking, admissions, vendor coordination, prize draws and cleanup, many HARC members gave their time to keep the day running smoothly.
To everyone who volunteered before, during and after the Hamfest: thank you. Your work is what allows HARC to continue putting on events for the amateur radio community in Hamilton and the surrounding area.
And Thank You for Coming
Finally, thank you to everyone who came through the doors. Whether you went home with a new radio, a box of parts, an antenna, or simply a few good conversations, we hope you enjoyed the morning.
We are already looking forward to the next HARC Hamfest. Watch the HARC website for future announcements and event information.
