2026 AGM Recap & Meet Your New Board
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Hamilton Amateur Radio Club’s 2026 Annual and Special Meeting of Members on October 22.
Members joined us both in person at St. Paul’s United Church and electronically through Microsoft Teams to review the past year, conduct the club’s annual business and help set the direction for HARC in the year ahead.
A Look Back at the Year
The AGM gave members an opportunity to hear reports on the club’s activities and operations over the previous year.
It has been a busy year for HARC, with club meetings and activities, Field Day, the member BBQ, fox hunting, the Build a Thing contest, the Ancaster Hamfest and continued work supporting the club’s repeaters, website and membership.
Thank you to every member who volunteered, attended an event, helped another amateur, served on a committee or simply participated in the life of the club. HARC works because its members get involved.
Annual and Special Meeting Business
In addition to the regular annual business, members considered the extraordinary resolution included in the formal meeting notice.
All business was passed unanimously at this meeting.
Meet the 2026–2027 HARC Board of Directors
Members also confirmed the Board of Directors that will guide the club through the coming year.
- President — Peter Hammerl – VE3XLQ
- Vice-President — Spencer Nelson – VA3SPN
- Secretary — Damien Coffey – VA3COF
- Treasurer — Jim Friend – VA3HFD
- Director — Rick Danby – VE3BK
- Director — Mike Krebs – VA3WXS
- Director — Don Pullen – VE3LJU
We thank everyone who allowed their name to stand for election or appointment. Serving on a volunteer board takes time and commitment, and the club benefits greatly from members who are willing to step forward.
Thank You to the Outgoing Board
HARC would also like to thank Nicole Hammerl for serving on the board for this past year. She will continue to handle memberships and inquiries.
Looking Ahead
With another AGM complete, HARC begins a new year with the same goal that has kept the club going for generations: bringing amateur radio operators together to learn, experiment, communicate and enjoy the hobby.
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to all HARC members for your continued support of the club.
We look forward to another great year of amateur radio in Hamilton.
